Brief: Bring Motion To a Beloved Tech Streamer
Plex isn’t just a streaming platform, it’s a cult favorite media player system that can store, organize, and stream viewer content. Now with a global library of movies and tv shows available to stream, Plex came to us to elevate the brand in motion with a new logo and brand elements that would put them on par with the streaming competition.
Solution: Ownable Elements That Elevate The Brand
The motion identity is driven by Plex’s vision of empowering real human connection by bringing people and entertainment together. The chevron is a signature element that activates and carries this thread. The motion package plays with the device at two sizes, mini and large, acting as an ownable element of forward movement, containing and guiding the viewer to fresh content and entertainment.
Color, Variety, Scale and Flexibility
We created a variety of transitions and promo structures to aid in Plex’s mission to “watch more, search less.” Mini color palettes and transitions that play with scale shifts and the chevron device allow Plex the right amount of flexibility and structure to create promos and activate the brand to get viewers where they want to go in quick bites of ownable style.
