BRIEF: COME UP WITH A FUN AND FUNNY CHRISTMAS PROMO

Lifetime came to And/Or with one of the best briefs we’ve ever gotten: 1. Promote their Christmas Movie lineup 2. Make it funny. Among the many ideas we pitched, a favorite won out: The coziest Christmas ever, cranked up to 11.

SOLUTION: THE COZIEST CHRISTMAS EVER. FOR REAL.

Our concept was as absurd as some of the best Lifetime Christmas movies: an overwhelming build up of cozy things piling on while you sink in to the couch to watch your favorite Lifetime holiday movies. And/Or wrote, directed, and handled all of the post production for the spot, which featured one very cozy actress, a bearded collie named Rugby, two rescue puppies, three kittens, and one punk miniature horse named Applejacks (don’t call him a pony). Many thanks to the team at Lifetime, who were awesome partners in maximal coziness the whole way through.

A VERY, VERY SPECIAL BTS

The project was so over-the-top, we couldn’t resist shooting a Christopher Guest-inspired behind the scenes video that does double duty as a parody of self-serious film process documentaries. Our whole team pitched in and fun was had by everyone, even Applejacks (we think).
