CMT Social Toolkit
BRIEF: BRING COUNTRY MUSIC TO A SOCIAL STAGE
With a recent influx of diverse, contemporary country artists and trends, CMT needed a modern, fresh design toolkit and system on social media. Our task was to unify the CMT brand with a flexible, current look for static and video assets, while still appealing to the die hard country music fans that are the network’s bread and butter.
SOLUTION: ELEVATED ELEMENTS THAT PLAY TOGETHER PERFECTLY
We pulled design influence and inspiration from classic country music ephemera like Nashville’s legendary Hatch Show Print concert posters, album artwork and the typography of letterpress and analogue printing to create a visual language with a robust set of layouts and options to keep the social content feed evolving and fresh. When work was complete, the CMT team was armed with multiple options for every element, screen size, and platform, ensuring a consistent performance across every platform.
