BRIEF: CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HISTORY WITH A GIRL-CENTERED BOP
Nick Jr. wanted to celebrate Women’s History Month with a fun, animated music video that would feature historical and current women and girls who were doing amazing things, along with select characters from their shows. As Nick Jr. put the finishing touches on a girl power song, they tapped And/Or to design and animate the piece.
SOLUTION: AN INSPIRING WORLD OF LOVABLE WEIRDOS
The biggest challenge in creating the video was figuring out the look and style of the animated world for our diverse characters to live. We presented three potential directions for character animation, ultimately going with a style we called “lovable weirdos,” a world where Nick Jr. characters intermingle with Kamala Harris, Marsha P. Johnson, Amelia Earhart, an animated megaphone, and a dog bone with a tiny beret.
