BRIEF: CAPTURE THE SPIRIT OF A BELOVED PUNK VENUE
Things we like: punk, DIY music venues, and fighting the man. All the more reason we were psyched to design and animate the titles and graphics for punk venue-turned-guitar-pedal-manufacturer Death by Audio’s 2016 documentary chronicling the origin, community, influence, and closure of their space.
SOLUTION: A DIY INSPIRED MOMENT IN TIME
We established a graphic language for the documentary that referenced DIY venue posters, hand-drawn aesthetics, and the restless energy of the scene in the weeks leading up to Death By Audio’s closing.
