BRIEF: SET THE LOOK AND FEEL FOR A COMPLICATED CASE

Disarming Films came to And/Or because they needed a graphics partner for their four-part HBO series The Case Against Adnan Syed, which picks up where the wildly popular podcast Serial left off. In addition to doing the title sequence we created over 35 minutes of in-episode scenes, leveraging the huge amount of archival evidence and material the show’s producers had collected.

SOLUTION: PUT ALL THE EVIDENCE ON THE TABLE

Inspired by the idea of laying out clues and examining them as a holistic picture, the open dramatizes connection points in the case, giving viewers an honest, tactile presentation of facts from this complex case. We also created a cohesive branded approach to the footage and evidence that allowed the editors to showcase multiple pieces of information simultaneously.
