The Rachel Hollis Show
BRIEF: A NEW KIND OF SHOW PACKAGING FOR A NEW KIND OF SHOW
Quibi, short for “quick bites,” is a new mobile-centric video platform. In 2020, Quibi launched with a slate of series, including The Rachel Hollis Show, a morning talk show hosted by author and motivational speaker Hollis. Working with the production company Den of Thieves, our challenge was to design a graphics package for the show pilot and a graphics toolkit for the series that the show’s team could use on an ongoing basis.
SOLUTION: DAILY MOTIVATION IN EVERY ASPECT
We developed a colorful, bold, and confident graphics package that complemented Rachel’s direct, relatable advice style. Once the show was picked up, we refined and toolkitted our package in both 9:16 and 16:9 for Quibi’s mobile-first format. Because of the daily nature of the show, the Rachel Hollis team needed the ability to constantly update graphic cards and elements like recipes, quotes, and lower thirds that highlight Rachel’s key insights and teachings.
TOOLKITTING FOR A BRAND NEW PLATFORM
We provided multiple title card formats, including the ability for the show team to update daily lists, motivational quotes, bold transitions, and select from a wide-ranging color palette that allowed them to create a unique show every day with simple, minimal footage from Rachel.
