BRIEF: INTRODUCE SAM BEE’S QUIZ APP WITH HER SIGNATURE HUMOR
TBS and Full Frontal wanted an exciting way to introduce Sam Bee’s patriotic live quiz app, This Is Not A Game: The Game, to theatergoers across the nation. They tapped us to help concept, write, and direct a theatrical trailer that would feel as big as the consequences of the midterms and play into Sam’s signature humor.
SOLUTION: AN EPIC QUEST TO SAVE DEMOCRACY
We came up with the idea of Sam going on an epic quest to get Americans to the polls, teeing up the app’s questions by quizzing average Americans (and meeting her own celestial doppelganger) along the way. We worked with TBS and the Full Frontal team from concept to execution, overseeing writing, production and editorial and collaborating with Turner on VFX finishing and animation.
